MD FSR (FidelityFX Super Resolution) is a function that first internally calculates an image at a low resolution and then enlarges (upscales) it to match the user's monitor resolution using a software upscaling process. This means that frame rates and frame times can be significantly improved in games that support FSR even without upgrading the graphics card.
In the following video, you Phone Number List can see how this function works in 'Forza Horizon 5', an open world racing game that supports FSR 2.2. AMD says FSR 2 is designed to improve frame rates in games and deliver the best possible image quality in final images that are better than or similar to native image quality.
FSR supports a total of over 200 games, including popular games such as:
Anno 1800
Resident Evil 2, 3
Resident Evil Village
Red Dead Redemption 2
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege
Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodhunt
Warhammer 40,000: Darktide
Microsoft Flight Simulator
World of Warships
Cyberpunk 2077
Dying Light 2
Forspoken
Diablo 4
The performance and efficiency achieved through AMD FSR 2 are quite impressive, as can be seen in AMD's benchmarks.

Enhanced cooling ability with ‘Radeon Chill’
AMD's Radeon Chill makes graphics cards quiet and cool. This energy-saving feature helps preserve the laptop's battery and reduces power consumption on gaming PCs by adjusting the frame rate based on in-game activity. When there is intense movement, Radeon Chill will increase the frames per second (FPS) up to the upper limit (FPS limit) set. When no action is taking place in the game, the frame rate limit is automatically reduced to save power consumption and reduce heat generation in the graphics card and other systems.
Radeon Chill works with most games that use Microsoft's Direct You can see how it works in the following video.
Like overclocking and undervolting, Radeon Chill can be enabled through AMD graphics drivers and AMD Radeon Adrenalin software.
Smoother with FreeSync
“Just play the game without distortion or interruption.” This is a phrase used by AMD to describe adaptive synchronization technology for monitors. FreeSync adjusts the monitor's refresh rate to prevent screen tearing and reduce stuttering. The latest higher versions, AMD FreeSync Premium and FreeSync Premium Pro, support frame rates of 120Hz or higher, LFC (Low Framerate Compensation), and HDR gaming.
A compatible monitor is required to use AMD FreeSync, FreeSync Premium, and FreeSync Premium Pro. More than 900 types of monitors from various manufacturers support FreeSync with appropriate certification.
